All the Bright Moves

Transitioning  my summer wardrobe to fall has been slow.  As I am easing my way to long sleeves and layers I’ve made a conscientious attempt to rock more than just black and gray this fall season . I am wild about hue and I am not afraid to show it 🙂

I am loving this playful and quirky, orange and blue combination which is great for channeling your cheery vibe on the streets.

As a graphic designer and budding fashionista I can always rely on my trusty color wheel. Once again I am using existing pieces from my closet that I mix and match to maximize wear throughout the year.

You too can make the following combos using the color wheel as your guide:

  1. Colors directly next to each other (example: yellow and yellow-orange; or violet and blue-violet)
  2. Colors directly across from each other (example yellow and violet; or blue and orange)
  3. Colors that form right (90 degree) angles with each other (example yellow and red-orange; or green and orange)
  4.  Colors that form an X (example blue, orange, violet-red, and yellow-green)

I see plenty of fabulous color combinations coming this fall beauties. The future is bright.

Thank you Simone. I always admired fashionistas who rock color with such ease. I was a little intimidated with mixing color at first. However, after I started using the color wheel I realized how fun and easy it was to play around with color. You are so welcome. Have a great week as well ?

Thank you Lena. You are so sweet. I wish I could take credit for the color wheel but fashionistas have been using color theory since the beginning of time 🙂 lol. Have a great week Xx

Oh thank you so much. Yes, color blocking has been around for a while. I am making use of the older pieces in my closet and sprucing them up by color coordinating 🙂 A simple and cheap way to transform a look 🙂

The color wheel is such a helpful tool. I don’t want my outfits to be too loud or boring so the color wheel definitely helps me find a happy medium. Enjoy your week Deborah. Xx

I definitely could with taking some of your advice – I find it really easy to naturally gravitate towards darker colours when it’s colder but even if the sun isn’t out, doesn’t mean I shouldn’t opt for some rainbow shades! Some seriously gorgeous outfits by the way!

You look gorgeous Nikki and that silky rust-coloured shirt is so beautiful and perfect for fall! I am funnily embracing my minimal side and so found myself hoarding black, beige and grey pieces for the upcoming months, hahaha, but will always love vibrant colours and how they make up for the grey days in England 😉

Thank you Saida. Beige and grey pieces are good for the fall but pops of color will definitely brighten up day 🙂 Have a great weekend beautiful lady.
