New Year’s Eve Makeup Inspiration

About 4 years ago I purchased gold eye shadow, deep red lipstick and some glitter for my holiday parties, but then realized I had no clue on how to  make it all work together. So, it took up space on my bathroom shelf until I eventually threw it out. This year I am doing things differently I teamed up with makeup artist Kara Boomhower who showed me how to put my “best face” forward.

When Kara asked me what I had in mind for my New Year’s Eve look I told her shimmer, sparkle, and lots of shine. 2016 was a tough year and I wanted to welcome 2017 with a memorable look. I also wanted to invest in makeup that I could use all through the year not just the holidays.

SKIN

For a glowing, luminous and touchable skin without all the cakiness I am wearing NARS sheer glow foundation and Radiant Creamy concealer. For that ultimate healthy glow I have on Casino bronzing Power.

CHEEKS

For natural, healthy-looking color that immediately enlivens the complexion I am wearing Blush – Seduction. For highlighted cheekbones – Highlighted Blush – Miss Liberty. You can wear this product alone or pair with other cheek products to create beautiful dimension on the face.

EYES

To achieve that sparkly smokey eye look Kara used Night Series Eyeshadow – Night Star, Matte Eyeshadow – Coconut Grove, dual-intensity eyeshadow -Rigel, and Matte eyeshadow – New York.

LIPS

I have on long wear Velvet Lip Liner KareKare that perfectly frames and a full-coverage creamy wear Audacious Lipstick : Brigitte. To top it all off I am wearing Sweet Dreams – Lip gloss for that shiny kissable lips at midnight.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year.  May this new year bring all the crazy colors and fun in your life.
