What’s New in Towne?

What’s new in Towne?  Their Summer menu of course Towne Stove and Spirits located at 900 Boylston Ave in Boston, offers a  unique Back Bay dining experience built around a delightful mingling of international flavors and solid American fare.

I was both delighted and honored to be invited by Towne restaurant to sample a few of their new dishes on the Summer menu. I could not wait to dig into all these mouth watering dishes.

Executive Chef Oscar Figueroa did not disappoint.  He has enthusiastically embraced many of the fresh locally grown produce to create  culinary delights to satisfy all his clients’ needs.

We started off the Summer appetizer selection with Tuna Tartar.   I loved the big chunks of tuna with creamy avocado, sweet onions, picked ginger, topped with seaweed and crunchy house made plantain chips. Tuna Tartar with avocado is a perfect addition to Towne’s  Summer menu.

Second up was the Bufala Caprese salad which was my all time favorite. This is not your conventional Caprese Salad. The twist is the sweet, ultra fresh peaches which was paired with savory-sweet tomatoes, moist slice of Mozzarella di Bufala, basil leaves, and a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette. This dish was soooo yum!!!!

I was very impressed with Towne’s Charcoal Salmon Fillet. I loved the crispy skin and moist fillet which was fresh and full of flavor. The salmon was served with steamed black rice and stir-fried baby bok choy with a miso ginger vinaigrette.

The long wharf lobster with frites at Towne is definitely a must have . The lobster meat was sweet, succulent and gone far too quickly. You have several choices with this dish, you can order the lobster steamed with lemon butter, broiled with brandy butter, poached or grilled and stuffed with crab. You will just have try this for yourself.

Whether you live in the neighborhood or visiting the city,  and are looking for some great food and service drop into Towne for a wicked good time.  With three bars and two floors of spacious dining areas including the outside patio , you will find just the right spot in Towne that fits you.

Make it a delicious week lovelies.
