Go RED – Monochromatic Magic!!! + Link Up

What a great start to the week!!! Our beloved New England Patriots won the super bowl for the fifth time. It was an incredible  game and definitely one for the history books. I am super excited for today’s post plus I am co-hosting this week’s Red theme with two amazing ladies Michelle Orsi from Michelle’s Pa(i)ge and Ana Luiza  from Northwest Blond! Be sure to join the link-up towards the bottom of my post.

Can you smell it in the air? Yup, it’s here! It’s the season of love and the color red seems synonymous with the month of February. Ladies, now is the perfect time to wear that fire-engine red top that you purchased but could not figure out which color (other than black) to pair it with. Styling your red top this month could not be any easier: Just pair it with a matching red pant, jacket, shoes and some red lipstick and you’re good to go. Wearing one hue from head to toe looks so sophisticated and undeniably posh. Especially RED.

When you keep your overall outfit within the same color hue, the outcome can be just as striking as wearing a bold pattern or vivid color. It is also a great look if you want to draw attention to an awesome new statement necklace or bag.

Wearing one color allows the eye to see an elongated silhouette since there is no blocking of colors. Whether you choose red or a more neutral tone, this style rule is definitely one to follow in as it will not only leave you looking longer, but will have you looking like an instant fashion icon

Many people think monochromatic means wearing exactly the same color head to toe, it can be, but it doesn’t have to be. By adding multiple layers of varied textures of one color adds depth and dimension to an outfit. You can also play around with gradients and wear different shades and tints of the same color.

Step outside of your sartorial comfort zone and pack a punch with head-to-toe color this season. Are you into the monochromatic trend?  If so how do you rock it?

Meet your hosts Michelle Orsi from Michelle’s Pa(i)ge and Ana Luiza from Northwest Blond.

I am so honored that Michelle reached out to me to co-host her Red theme Link Party! I love her style, which she describes as one part classic and one part modern with a pop of color. Ana’s fun and colorful style is effortless and I enjoy reading all their posts!
